The 11th "Kaili Cup" City Basketball Invitational Tournament, jointly organized by the Municipal Work Committee, Municipal Radio and Television Station, Municipal Sports Service Center, and Municipal Basketball Association, and Kaili Investment Co., Ltd.which is owned by Kaili, was as scheduled held on the evening of July 22, 2020. The first to kick off is the adult group competition. Affected by the weather, the first round of the competition was arranged in the basketball hall of Kaili and the basketball hall of Nanshan Sports Main Park. All the top 4 teams of the previous competition appeared on the stage. The first day of the game was wonderful and there were lots of highlights.

　　A total of 4 games were played at the first night. The last runner-up Kaili Investment team was the first to appear on the 1st venue of Kaili's basketball hall. In the game of Kaili Investment team vs. China Gas team, Kaili Investment team win a net 42-point. The final score of the two sides was set at 80:38, creating the biggest disparity of the game in the day. In another game on the same venue, the defending champion Kaili Real Estate defeated Haitong Building Materials Team at 63:43. The two sides took the lead alternately in the first three quarters of the game. In the last quarter, Kaili Real Estate played a wave of offensive climax and narrowly win the game.

　　On the 2nd venue of the basketball hall in Nanshan Sports Main Park, the first match was between Chengbei GroupTeam and Xin'an Lianhai Team. As two old traditional strong teams, the two sides were evenly matched and the competition was fierce. The game was suspend until the last moment. Chengbeiji team narrowly beat Xin'an Lianhai team with 39:36, only leading 3 points. In the second game, the Wudianban team composed mainly of college students played against the Sports Bureau team composed mainly of school physical education teachers. Most members of the Wudianban team participated in the high school group in the last "Kaili Cup".So this game can be described as a "teacher-student" contest. After some duel, the experienced and better-physical teachers won the game. The Sports Bureau gave the Wudianban team a lesson with a score of 37:25.

　　A total of 11 adult representative teams participated in the competition of this "Kaili Cup". The competition started on July 22 and lasted until July 30. The main venue for the competition is the basketball court in Jianshe Park (opposite to the tobacco company). In case of bad weather, the competition will be arranged in No.1 venue of Kaili Knitwear Basketball Hall and No. 2 venue Nanshan Sports Main Park Basketball Hall. The first stage of the adult group game adopts a group round-robin system. The top two points of the group enter the second stage. The second stage adopts a cross-elimination system, and finally the champion, second and third place are determined. At present, the three-person competition of the junior and senior high school groups is still in progress and will close on August 2. The participating teams and schedule will be separately announced by the competition committee after August 3.
